Augustine of Canterbury Compline
By Luke Johnson | November 7, 2017
St. Augustine of Canterbury was the first Archbishop of Canterbury. He was a person of quiet determination, and set his life relentlessly upon the worship of Jesus. By focusing on the most essential things, and by keeping an open door to all who would join him, the local king and kingdom had turned to Christ and away from their pagan worship within a few years of Augustine's arrival. In celebration of his efforts, the Pope made Augustine "Archbishop of Canterbury."
